Every 3rd woman, every 4th man

According to Lloyd deMause, every 3rd woman and every 4th man in US has been a victim of incest. When I first calculated that out of his findings, my hair stood up on my head. According to police reports that I have read, incest is the most under-reported crime in US. Here is the article on The Universality of Incest that deMause wrote. In it he states that 60% of all women and 45% of all men in US have been sexually abused, half of those have been abused by their close relatives.

Whether you want to believe it or not - is your choice. I choose to believe it, after having been through my own personal pain and hearing from so many others about the same. I have dug up much more data recently, will be analyzing it and blogging about it soon.
